Fall Concert - Sunday, November 1, 2015

    Stories, Dances, Tricks & Treats! was the theme for the November 1, 2015, family concert, evoking dancing comedians, exotic circus performers, the glories of Bach, Happy, and a rollicking Saints Go Marching In -- Treats galore!

    The concert included:

• Dance of the Comedians from The Bartered Bride by Bedřich Smetana
• The Three-Cornered Hat, Suite No.1, by Manuel de Falla
• Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin
• The Syncopated Clock by Leroy Anderson
• Happy by Pharrell Williams
• Gloria in Excelsis Deo! (Cantata 191) by Johann Sebastian Bach
• When the Saints Go Marching In by John Rutter, with soloists Marian Vogel, soprano, Eric Bower, tenor, and the Westminster College Concert Choir
• Instrumental petting zoo
• Art in Music prizewinners

Westminster College Concert Choir

    Prize-winning Art in Music Contest winners were recognized and their art works were displayed in the lobby. An instrumental petting zoo -- where audience members can have hands-on experiences with instruments and talk with performers -- occurred during intermission. Refreshments were served during intermission.

    The concert was held at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic Street, NE, Warren and began at 3 p.m.
