The Warren Philharmonic Orchestra held its spring fundraiser at the Hartford Hill Winery on Friday, May 1, 2015, from 6 – 8 p.m. Tickets were $40 per person, which included food and wine. Music was provided by the Youngstown Jazz Collective. Attendees were encouraged to wear casual attire.
Orchestra supporters donated several items for a silent auction held during the fundraiser. A list of the items auctioned is available.
Friends of the Warren Philharmonic donated all expenses for this event, making ticket sales tax-deductible. Orchestra fundraisers help underwrite the organization's operating expenses. The Hartford Hill Winery is one of Trumbull County's newest businesses, a project of Randy and Carolyn Wyand. The main building at the winery, with seating for 250, consists of two reconstructed barns moved to the Fowler site in 2014. Even the winery's fireplace and outdoor pizza hearth are made from foundation stones reclaimed from the barns' original locations. The vineyards have four varieties of grapes: Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Merlot and Chardonnay. The winery is located at 3864 Bushnell Campbell Road, Fowler, Ohio.
